I have never begged for one of my posts to be boosted. I am just so worried for my friends and want you to know. According to this article, dated March 15, 2012: http://www.digitaltrends.com/webnews/major-isps-turn-into-copyright-police-by-july-says-riaa/"File-sharers, beware: By July 12, major US Internet service providers (ISPs) will voluntarily begin serving as copyright police for the entertainment industry, according to Cary Sherman, chief executive of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The so-called “six-strikes” plan is said to be one of the most effective anti-piracy efforts ever established in the US." The article goes on to give details. After six notices, internet providers will decide to throttle a person's internet speed, or cut it off altogether. I don't know if they will crack down on torrents only, or if it is up to the internet provider. I get the sense it is up to the internet provider. So some people could get away with downloading non torrents, while others might get their internet service cut off. I urge you to click it and read, as we all know people who download. No more downloading eps of your favorite shows for vidding, gifs, or fanfiction art. No more downloading screencaps possibly. I'm so sorry my friends. I don't even know if BT Guard will work to protect you, but I would google it if I were you. It is a professional service that supposedly can protect you from the invasive eyes of your internet provider. Just, my friends, please make each other aware. Please be aware of the date JULY 12TH. Mark your calendar and double check with your internet provider by then. If you start receiving notices of downloaded activity, this is why. And your internet service could be throttled or cut off. Fox news confirms this: http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2012/03/17/us-isps-become-copyright-cops-starting-july-12/Youtube video explaining this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5OG0R-yS-cEdit: I'm also going to add that PeerBlock might be another program to look into. You can download it here. And... Petition: RIAA and the Obama Administration: Stop ISPs from launching a massive copyright spying scheme this July 12th

I heard the folks behind SOPA and PIPA are back with ACTA and a version that claims to be legislation to take down child pornographers, so ISPS HAVE to keep a record of everything you do for 18 months. Riiight. As with the case of MegaUpload and the dude in the UK who got extradited, the US already has the power to arrest you over copyright infringement. So WHY are they so fervently pursuing these things? Why are we treated like we all did something wrong already? Isn't the US about "Innocent until proven guilty?" And adding CHILD PORN to legislation to spy on people it to make you look like a criminal if it isn't passed? Wow, stop the planet, I want off. I sure don't want my ISP recording everything I do and inspecting it WITHOUT PROBABLE CAUSE and a court order first. We need a constitutional amendment to protect privacy NOW. Now, when we sign up for Facebook and such we're aware that we no longer have total privacy, but no one NEEDS FB. We shouldn't have to give that up just so we can access what is basically a basic service, like phone and internet access. I don't oppose this junk because I pirate or am a pedophile, I'm opposed to our rights and privacy and due process being taken away. I don't like the tea party but I can't help but wonder if smaller government would be better so they don't keep trying to pull this crap? However that would present another problem, the TP would get rid of all social safety net programs and pretty much say "you're on your own, too bad" and we'd basically be stuck in a theocracy. I may be a Christian but I don't want to live in a place where it's basically forced on everyone. How would people like it if there was Sharia Law instead? That's what it would be like to people who weren't evangelicals. I believe in Gay Rights, Social Services, freedom of religion, separation of Church and State and Social Equality. (being a liberal Christian is a hard concept for my conservative brethren to fathom, they think I'm an apostate because I don't hate gays or Muslims) Why can't a Fuck You Corporate Government yet socially liberal person step up to the fucking plate already??? http://www.6theory.com/forum/index.php/topic/80386-the-new-re-worded-version-of-sopapipa-that-will-get-passed/http://investmentwatchblog.com/threatening-new-bill-worse-than-sopapipa-this-bill-entitled-the-protecting-children-from-internet-pornographers-act-of-2011-is-a-bill-with-overly-broadened-language-that-greatly-threatens-all/#.TxyPfPk8dOmhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8Xg_C2YmG0

Makes sense that people making a fuss about piracy are guilty of instigating and promoting it, so they can profit twice. It's like leaving a wallet on a bus bench on purpose and then arresting the one who inevitably takes it. Not to mention making laws that make you a felon for the smallest act of copyright infringement (it is actually illegal to sing "Happy Birthday" in public, you know, I'm concerned that Bentleyville will get in trouble with the RIAA because they play copyrighted music which is illegal without a license) which guarantees that many many more people will go to prison, costing taxpayers more to feed and house them, while the big media companies laugh all the way to the bank.

Okay, so I don't usually do this, but this is an issue near and dear to me and this is getting very little no attention in the mainstream media. Mississippi is voting on November 8th on whether to pass Amendment 26, the "Personhood Amendment". This amendment would grant fertilized eggs and fetuses personhood status. Putting aside the contentious issue of abortion, this would effectively outlaw birth control and criminalize women who have miscarriages. This is not a good thing. Jackson Women's Health Organization is the only place women can get abortions in the entire state, and they are trying to launch a grassroots movement against this amendment. This doesn't just apply to Mississippi, though, as Personhood USA, the group that introduced this amendment, is trying to introduce identical amendments in all 50 states. What's more, in Mississippi, this amendment is expected to pass. It even has Mississippi Democrats, including the Attorney General, Jim Hood, backing it. The reason I'm posting this here is because I made a meager donation to the Jackson Women's Health Organization this morning, and I received a personal email back hours later - on a Sunday - thanking me and noting that I'm one of the first "outside" people to contribute. So if you sometimes pass on political action because you figure that enough other people will do something to make a difference, make an exception on this one. My RSS reader is near silent on this amendment. I only found out about it through a feminist blog. The mainstream media is not reporting on it. If there is ever a time to donate or send a letter in protest, this would be it. What to do? - Read up on it. Wake Up, Mississippi is the home of the grassroots effort to fight this amendment. Daily Kos also has a thorough story on it. - If you can afford it, you can donate at the site's link. - You can contact the Democratic National Committee to see why more of our representatives aren't speaking out against this. - Like this Facebook page to help spread awareness.

I'm Feeling: angry
Right now I feel like I'm the only sane man. Am I honestly expected to agree with other people's decisions or they won't be my friend? Is it really none of my business when your decisions could harm others, possibly me? Is that what a "friend" is? An unquestioning yes-man? I'd rather be alone than forced to do that. God gave me a fine (if a little eccentric) brain, and I get nothing but grief for using it. ( long ass rant about stupid people and hypocritical christians and so on )Stop the planet God, I want OFF.

I'm finally feeling loads better after my procedure to widen my pyloric channel (exit to my stomach) I had a bad reaction to one of the drugs and was ok'ed to stop taking it, will continue nexium and carafate though. I am also pain free and acid reflux free!

I do indeed, have an ulcer. cause: backed up stomach contents due to a too-tight pyloric passage, which was dialated so food can pass through again. I will be visiting my doc for an I told you so about being sick. I should be feeling like a million bucks as soon as my ulcer heals, I have meds to help with that. I will post pictures if requested.

I'm Feeling: sick
I've been sick. Really sick. My stomach has been hurting so bad that I have gone to the ER four times in the last week. the third time they gave me viscous lidocaine (a painkiller) to swallow directly down mixed with Maalox, and it brought me untold relief for a short time, and my high heart rate and BP went way down. It was so bad that I didn't eat for four days afterward. I gave up going to my GP at St. Mary's because she never thinks anything is seriously wrong, and she and the ER docs refused to refer me to a GI specialist, so Mom took me to St. Lukes. They immediately tell me that my situation does indeed send up red flags, and immediately referred me to a GI specialist who I saw today, he agreed to scope me and do a stomach lining biopsy next week, which was just amazing, and they treated me like I wasn't BSing and believed I was miserable.
